Community Currencies in Action (EU)

July 2012 – June 2015: Project Manager, EU Interreg Project

Community Currencies in Action (CCIA) was the biggest ever transnational project in the community currency field. Running from May 2012 to June 2015, CCIA was part-funded through the INTERREG IVB North West Europe Programme, a financial instrument of the European Union’s Cohesion Policy (ERDF).

CCIA brought together expert partners from across northwest Europe and co-ordinated six pilot currencies across the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands and France.

I was the CCIA project manager at the New Economics Foundations, responsible for research, communications and dissemination of the project outcomes.
Direct outputs were, amongst others, the CC Knowledge Gateway and the CC Guidebook “People Powered Money”.
